IMME 2012 – all set to take off

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to organise the 11th edition of the International Mining and Machinery Exhibition – IMME 2012 from 5-8th December at Salt Lake Grounds, Kolkata. The event is supported by Coal India & Ministry of Mines, Government of India. The Global Mining Summit 2012, an International conference to be held concurrently from 5-6 December.  For this edition, USA is the Partner Country at IMME and GMS 2012 and Australia is the focus country. There are country pavilions from USA, Australia, Germany, UK, China, Poland, Canada and Czech Republic at the Exhibition. In addition there would be individual participation of exhibitors from Russia, Singapore, Dubai, Finland, France, etc. The event will feature exhibitors, professionals, buyers and delegates who are looking to forge strategic partnerships, joint ventures, technology transfers and business to business alliances. More than 8000 business visitors are expected to visit the exhibition including delegations from Coal India and other mining companies.
Visitors profile include coal block owners; construction material suppliers; consultants; contractors & builders; engineering colleges; equipment & component manufacturers; financial institutions; government officials;  limestone, granite, sandstone mine owners; mine owners; power generation & distribution company; procurement & vendor development department of mining companies; safety institutes; transportation companies; quarry owners; trading & marketing companies.  The Global Mining Summit 2012 would focus mainly on exploration, technology, policy frameworks, emerging business opportunities in the Indian mining sector, discuss strategies to achieve high growth in mining, role of financial institutions for developing the mining sector, environmental and safety issues and provide a platform for exchange of views, ideas and business linkages among the Indian and global participants. More than 500 delegates are expected to attend the two day conference.
