A major force in the Indian tyre market, JK Tyre & Industries, has teamed up with EKA Mobility, a pioneer in the field of electric mobility, and its equity partners, Mitsui Co., Ltd. (Japan) and VDL Groep (Netherlands).

Through this alliance, JK Tyre will be able to further solidify its position as the leading provider of “Connected Mobility Solutions,” a revolutionary cloud-based monitoring system. The mobility solutions strategy of the organisation encompasses comprehensive tyre management. Sanjeev Sharma, AVP, Fleet Management & Mobility Solutions, JK Tyre, and Vijaykumar Yelne, President, EKA Mobility, signed the long-term agreement in Pune.

A new generation of electric vehicle tyres with Connected Treel Sensors for real-time monitoring will be made available to EKA’s fleet by JK Tyre. A committed group of seasoned employees has been sent by JK Tyre to offer round-the-clock assistance at the depots and on the road. The company will offer full support to EKA’s fleet in every city, starting with the fleet that is now deployed in Mumbai.
