KEC bags orders worth `400 crore

KEC International, an RPG Group company, has bagged orders worth Rs. 400 crore. The Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, SAE Towers, secured orders valued at Rs. 150 crore for tower supply in North America and South America. KEC received three domestic orders totalling Rs. 200 crore for transmission lines from CESC, DB Power and the Punjab State Transmission Corporation.
The CESC order is for turnkey construction of 220 kV Multi Circuit Transmission Line from PGCIL’s Subhasgram Substation to West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Corporation existing line at Saitala. The DB Power order is for turnkey construction of 400 kV Double Circuit Transmission Line for power evacuation from its Baradarha Power Plant, Chattisgarh to PGCIL’s 400/765 kV pooling point in Raigarh, Chattisgarh. And the PSTCL, order is for turnkey construction of 400 kV transmission line from Rajpura to Nakodar in Punjab. In addition to above, the Company has won several orders for Power and Telecom Cables worth Rs. 50 crore. “We are seeing good order inflow in Transmission business; we have secured over Rs. 1,000 crore orders in this vertical during current financial year so far. We are happy that in addition to geographical and business diversification, we have also diversified our client base by securing orders from Private Sector Customers. Apart from this, our wholly owned subsidiary SAE Towers continues to deliver good order inflow. Its order book currently stands at Rs. 968 crore as compared to Rs. 550 crore at the time of acquisition in September 2010,” said Ramesh Chandak, MD & CEO KEC of International.
