Martin Kriegner appointed CEO of Lafarge India [July 2012]

As a result of this Group-wide reorganisation, Martin Kriegner has been appointed CEO of Lafarge India with responsibility for all of Lafarge’s cement, aggregates and concrete activities in the country. Building materials producer Lafarge adopted a new organisation to refocus its core businesses – cement, aggregates and concrete – and prioritise innovation to bring added value to customers by offering not only products but more and more services as well as integrated solutions for construction. Martin Kriegner, an Austrian citizen, joined Lafarge in 1990 and became the CEO of Lafarge Perlmooser AG, Austria in 1998 before he moved to India as Head of the cement activity in 2002. Prior to this assignment he served as Regional President, based in Kuala Lumpur. He has a Doctorate of Law and an MBA from Austrian universities.
