Ministry of shipping plans to invest Rs. 2.44 lakh crore in Tamil Nadu

Ports & Shipping: The Shipping Ministry has plan to invest Rs 2.44 lakh crore on the development of Ports in Tamil Nadu. Out of this Rs.39,000 crore will be for port modernisation, Rs 55,000 crore for port connectivity and Rs 1,50,000 crore for port led industrialization. The projects include a new container terminal, multi-cargo terminal, railway line to container and multi cargo terminal and RFID system. For details contact: D.
