Orvi launches Palacio, Molecules and Glyph range

Orvi, a home décor brand known for creating innovative surfaces, with a fine blend of craftsmanship and technology, has unveiled three awe-inspiring collections – Palacio, Molecules and Glyph range. The most awaited launch of the year, these unique creations offer an artful interplay of the colours, textures and unusual materials to bring infinite bespoke possibilities to life for contemporary architecture design. Together with more than 60 in-house artisans, Orvi has used varied traditional craft techniques from across the world like stone carving, hand sculpting, intricate metal inlay, stone–in-stone inlay etc. to create these collections using exquisite materials.

Palacio Collection – The art of inlaying wood into natural stone seamlessly
Palacio Collection brings opulence and warmth to any environment with the unique harmony of rich wood, stone and shimmering metal. This collection’s identity and inspiration pay homage to the Spanish word for the palace and there’s no mistaking why with its regal and contemporary aesthetic. The intricate designs that make up this line of luxurious tile-work are inspired by the grand palaces and castles where much of Europe’s royalty once resided. Within those walls, the finest compositions of stone, metal, and wood were used to create cohesive warmth that encapsulated the lives of kings and queens.

Each wood inlay is surrounded by luminous metalwork, a process created by the hands of expert artisans, all of which sits on the pure hand-carved stone. From curvy metal and wood inlays to more geometrical patterns, these surfaces look like a seamless tapestry on the floor, almost like ‘Art you could walk on’.

Molecules Collection – The most sustainable range to transform luxury spaces
The Molecules collection is created using the wastage of smaller high-quality stones that are left behind in various quarries. In Orvi’s most sustainable collection till date, high-grade stones are handpicked from mines, cut with great precision in unique shapes and firmly carved with metal inlays to display enchanting mosaic patterns. Individual pieces in this highly adaptable collection shift the paradigm with its meticulous metal inlays and rich stone bases, creating contemporary patterns which are playful yet engrossing. They instantly transform into intricate mosaics after application to bring in-depth and texture. Serving the perfect backdrop for contemporary architecture designs, Molecules creates a statement with its exquisite identity and luxurious spirit.

Glyph Collection – High impact 3D surfaces to elevate luxury spaces
Featuring high impact 3D surfaces with an elegant twist, Glyph collection is brought to life by the painstaking process of hand sculpting on natural stones and the age-old technique of bas-relief harnessed by the master artisans at Orvi. Glyph discovers infinite possibilities with multi-dimensional patterns to add dimensionality and visual depth to dull interiors in luxury spaces. Echoing the coiling, plaiting and twining of rushes, roots and reeds, impressive three-dimensional patterns emerge in Glyph collection.

First, certain portions of the natural stone are carved and hand-finished with great precision to create a bas-relief surface, into which patterns are then meticulously carved by hand to highlight the play of shadow and irregularity. The beauty of Glyph lies in the intriguing play of shadows on these dancing surfaces as the light strikes from several directions to accentuate all the dimensions.

The wood used in Palacio collection goes through several layers of treatment so that its luster and properties remain intact for years. Further, we use a very rich quality of stone and then thick metal sheets are intricately inlaid by hand into these artful surfaces, making them perfectly suited for high traffic areas as well. The most interesting aspect of this collection is the ability to create bespoke design options using these materials (wood, stone and metal) to suit any sort of sensorial experience. Designed to suit contemporary living spaces, the designs in all three collections are minimal yet they make any space look opulent and warm.
