Co-created with iconic design studios/architects like Annkur Khosla, Jimmy Mistry, reD Architects, ADND Studio, Mangrove Collective, each coveted creation depicts a unique story woven by the skilled artisans – the unsung heroes of our country who are keeping indigenous art forms alive. Keeping the contemporary feel at the forefront, the state-of-the-art pieces are a perfect accompaniment for luxury spaces.
Designed with Annkur Khosla, Mandala tables are where the cosmic lines of connectivity are represented as a surface in utilitarian tables as they feature Black limestone as a base material for the structure and an intricate embellishment with brass. The smooth 2D top surface of the table transitions into the three-dimensional sculpted surface on its side to render a cascading effect in living spaces. The contemporary side table – Aurae designed with Annkur Khosla, amalgams the aesthetics of Italian Terrazzo with the skills of Indian craftsmen. The pattern and blue-ish green colour palette visually depict a multiplying sense of ‘Aura’ and recalls the glass-tiled mosaics of Europe’s medieval churches and cathedrals. Orvi prides itself in its bespoke capabilities and brings to life its signature offerings like Raku Pot, Liquid Metal Planter, Pietra Dura Wall Arts.
The Polka Console by Mangrove Collection x Orvi Surfaces is a result of the exploration of the “marquetry” technique, wherein forms in timber, metal and other materials come together to form an intricately crafted surface. This technique has been interpreted in a graded pattern arrived at through parametric design modelling to create a contemporary graphic expression. Destroy to create table designed with reD Architects, becomes an analogy of how our designs and Orvi’s brand ethos are supported by the artisans.
The multi-functional table can be split up into various configurations to become a buffet table or a study table by just moving the glass triangles. The act of leaving a fist-like print on her/his hand-print was actually the act of “destroying” their own work. Revel in the brilliance of Orvi’s impeccable craftsmanship and artistry in this perfect assortment that defines refined living for urban homes.
