Pankaj leads A&M’s expansion in India

Pankaj Bhagat has more than 25 years of experience changing large and complex capital projects, which is in line with A&M India’s capability growth plan.

Prominent international professional services company Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has announced that Pankaj Bhagat, Managing Director, has been appointed to lead the company’s expansion of its INFRA sector experience and skills in India for capital projects and infrastructure. With its INFRA offering, A&M India will meet market demands brought about by the government of India’s ongoing infrastructure spending as well as private capital investments that are boosting the country’s production capacities in several industries, such as steel, mining, clean energy, and energy transition.

A&M has expanded its geographic reach and INFRA offering strategically, adding to its growing capabilities in the US and building on its recent growth in Canada, Australia, and Europe. Furthermore, A&M India’s INFRA service line indicates the company’s ongoing dedication to the market, as evidenced by Himanshu Bajaj’s recent appointment as Managing Director and India Co-Country Leader.

Pankaj focuses on providing clients with advice on issues pertaining to the infrastructure, real estate, engineering and construction, oil and gas, metals, power, and industrial equipment sectors. Among his noteworthy responsibilities have been managing large capital projects for top developers, owners, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors in a variety of industries. In addition, he has counselled the boards and executive teams of India’s top three EPC and construction companies.

Pankaj worked with Accenture Strategy & Consulting in India for more than 12 years, most recently as a Managing Director, before joining A&M. He provided clients with advice on mandates including cost and productivity improvement, digital strategy and implementation, operating model design, and change management as a member of that firm’s Supply Chain & Operations practice.
