“End users benefit from real-time fire and radiation heat protection with the Sauerland technology Triple Action Door-sets.”

Sauerland Spanplatte from Germany, the World’s largest Door component supplier with over seven decades of experience and a market spread across 90 countries, represented the Global Wood Panel Industry at the premier edition of Fire Safe Build India (FSBI) Expo 2023 to showcase the simplest and most cost-effective ways to offer 30 and 60 minutes FRD solutions to Door manufacturers to provide a Complete Fire Door solution.

According to global standards, Sauerland advantage provides passive fire protection to end users with insulation, integrity, and stability ratings of 30 or 60 minutes. The FRD construction with the Sauerland advantage passes the BS 476 part 22, is 3614 and EN 1634-1:2014+a1:2018 in conjunction with EN 1363-1:2012 to deliver an environment-friendly, ultra-low emission grade and lightweight 54 mm thick 60 minutes fire rated and 44 mm thick 30 minutes fire rated doors.

The door makers can produce such fire doors per the approved real estate developer criteria of employing 72 hours of boiling waterproof laminated veneer timber or hardwood, as well as boiling waterproof HDF, to ensure the doors are moist and water resistant. Door frames can be made from the same 72-hour BWP LVL or hardwood.

The 38 mm Sauerland tubular infill combined with HDF/HDHMR/BWP HDF and softwood stiles and rails can be used to create 30-minute fire- certified doors. Sauerland Spanplatte is constantly concerned with the whole performance that doors should provide, such as privacy of sight and seclusion of sound.

Acoustical features benefit daily by keeping out or in sounds, limiting noise pollution to a great and necessary extent. In contrast, the complete fire performance (Insulation + Integrity + Stability) of a door set is a key passive protection in the event of an eventuality or an accident. Smoke arrest technology uses the necessary drop-down and perimeter seals from Athmer to help restrict any passage for smoke, offering triple acting.

End users benefit from real-time fire and radiation heat protection with the Sauerland technology Triple Acting Door-sets.

Using the Sauerland Technology, the 60-minute FRD can provide an acoustic rating of 34 DB or 40 DB, and the 30-minute FRD can offer an acoustic rating of up to 42 DB.

Sauerland cores have an ultra- low formaldehyde level of e0.5 (e1 according to EN 16516), making them suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial structures.

Sauerland Technology has the added benefit of being environmentally benign for disposal as a recyclable material. To know more, please get in touch with Sleek Boards Marketing Services LLP.
