Visualising made easy with 3D Printing

Visualising made easy with 3D Printing

3D Printing has really helped a lot of fields – in construction industry; it not only helps architects to quickly build 3D Models to enable easy visualisation.

Ar. Prem Nath of Prem Nath & Associates believes that the technology in last one decade has transformed every industry and every persons’ life – construction industry too has got its share of advantages; technology has in many ways transformed the system of working and construction; ease of construction management and tracking is smallest transformation, while the bigger ones speak of better and smarter construction equipment, through computer based operating systems; construction industry gets its sources and resources from various other resources, thus the overall upgrade has enabled a lot of enhancement in this industry, for example smarter technology has enabled better construction material manufacturing, thus better finishing is achieved, smarter technology has enabled faster production of material, thus faster, better and long lasting construction can be done.

Breakthrough technology of 2016
Sharing his views on the breakthrough technology of 2016 Ar. Prem Nath says, “Technology and innovations cannot be bracketed into a single year – thus a breakthrough technology of 2016 is difficult to comprehend, however, what I feel is that technologies like 3D Printing and Nano-Solar-Cell technology are the recent innovations and are here to stay for good. 3D Printing has really helped a lot of fields – in construction industry; it not only helps architects to quickly build 3D Models to enable easy visualisation, and is also being implemented in actual construction of structures, in a monolithic manner.”

He adds, “Nano-Solar-Cell technology is enabling manufacturing of photovoltaic films, which can be used directly on the glass façade, as a semi transparent film, which not only cuts incidental the UV from entering the interior space, but also harnesses the solar power to be used as alternative source of energy.”

Adding value as green architect
When asked about how the technologies like 3D Printing and Nano-Solar-Cell are adding value to the profession Ar. Prem Nath says, “While I look forward to use the 3D Printer soon, I do use a 3D Doodler to make a few quick 3D hand sketches; as regards to the Photo-voltaic film is concerned, quite a few of my high-rise structures are being specified with this film, which shall not only add to the innovative factor of their sustainability but add a lot of value to the green power generation to the project; this also adds value to me as a green architect.”
