Liebherr displays the 100t mining excavator R 9100 in backhoe configuration at the ongoing 11th International Mining and Machinery Exhibition (IMME) in Kolkata.
 
This new excavator is powered by a Liebherr V12 diesel engine which integrates the latest engine management system. As the optimal tool for loading 50t up to 100t dump trucks and offering a high level of versatility, this machine opens up new opportunities for a wide range of excavating applications.
 
The advanced hydraulic technology contributes to the R 9100’s energy optimisation. The electronic management of the hydraulic pumps provides optimal pressure compensation and oil flow management while the optimised pipe and hose layout maximise usable power transmission. The oversized independent oil- and water coolers in combination with low energy consumption fans and on-demand cooling controls enable to maximise available power for the digging process.
 
Engineered for optimum serviceability, the R 9100 is designed to ensure fast maintenance for maximum uptime. Easily accessible from one unique side via a wide catwalk, the machine makes it easy to reach the main service points for rapid and reliable servicing. The revised single-line lubrication circuit and the fuel and oil filter systems contribute to maximise components lifetime ensuring constant performance. Cost-effectiveness is enhanced by the reduced volume of maintenance work.
