Please brief us on the recent status of PEB industry in India.Pre-engineered buildings outclass the traditional concept of construction. India is well set to become a major steel building maker in the world. India is also the fastest growing market in the PEB construction segment. The versatility of pre-engineered steel building is rising on the growth curve. Light pre-engineered buildings and heavier project work using pre-engineered building solution have proved to be relevant and beneficial to all construction verticals such as airports, infrastructure, multistorey buildings, power plants, industrial buildings, manufacturing plants and warehouses.
Why the concept of PEBs has not gained popularity despite manifold advantages over conventional systems?The PEB industry in India is on rise, and there are still a lot of scopes to expand and explore. More sectors are now adhering to its advantages. In a small way, acceptability of steel structural systems for general buildings and high-rise construction is increasing, and fast-track projects is also gaining acceptance. Widespread use of pre-engineered structural systems in the infrastructure sector would soon gain ground when the promoters of industrial projects appreciate the tremendous cost and time benefits to the project.
How do you position your company in this particular segment?With confidence from experience, Metal Scope is known for setting new quality standards. We retain 95 per cent of our clients.
