Asian Paints celebrates World interior day in Ahmedabad

On World Interior Day 2024, Asian Paints, India’s largest paint and decor brand, proudly conducts “Designing Tomorrow,” an exclusive architect and design event.

Asian Paints, a global leader and pioneer in design and architectural innovation, intends to convene industry executives, architects, and designers for enriching information-sharing sessions. The event focused on investigating and discussing modern interior design trends, with a particular emphasis on the introduction of global concepts to the Indian market.

Over a hundred experts from Gujarat, mainly Ahmedabad, attended the ‘Designing Tomorrow’ event with great enthusiasm. It is the first of Asian Paints’ two-city design events for World Interior Day. The first chapter began in Ahmedabad, and the second will take place in Pune.

Asian Paints is the only paint and décor brand to conduct such an event, providing architects and design professionals with an invaluable opportunity to discuss, learn, share, and be inspired.

‘Designing Tomorrow’ featured fascinating panel discussions with well-known industry experts from both nationally and abroad. Among them were famous Italian names, such as Barbara Sansonetti, Architect and Interior Designer of Novacolor, a major manufacturer and distributor of new materials, and Enea Biraku, Lead Chemist of Renner Italia, a well-known Italian coatings manufacturer. The panel discussion also included Prashant Parmar, Snehal Suthar, and Kunal Shah, all of whom are the founders or principal architects of well-known Indian architecture firms. Novacolor and Renner Italia are long-term partners of Asian Paints.

The discussions focused on worldwide trends and their adaptation in the Indian context, demonstrating how industry leaders have carried out boutique projects by combining global principles with local aesthetics. The panel discussion also included sustainable approaches, emphasising environmentally friendly and technically sound design practices.

The event included unique interior space exhibits with Asian Paints Royale Play, an excellent assortment of interior textures, and designer plaster. Furthermore, Asian Paints’ WoodTech exhibit featured a unique presentation of their latest ranges of wood finishes and interior textures, presenting an array of fine Italian treatments to demonstrate the natural elegance of wood on every surface.

Architects express their design ambitions through an engaging mood board ideation activity centred on sustainability, utilising sustainable materials as their creative palette.

The session also focused on new ways to employ plaster and coatings to generate different textures and surfaces, illustrating both the progress of these techniques and their aesthetic potential.

‘Designing Tomorrow’ arose as a platform for bringing together creative ideas and innovation to imagine India’s future. Attendees found the event interesting and thought-provoking, and it allowed them to network and build new business ties.
