Building Information Modeling 2013 was conceptualised and solely organised by one of the leading business intelligence firms Nispana. The conference attracted 60 odd participants which included solution providers like BIM Star and Newforma which supported this initiative and provided technology solutions based upon current challenges today’s professionals face while implementing BIM in design and construction.
The event that wasBIM India 2013 summit was held in Mumbai on June 13th and 14th with a grand opening in the presence of Sanjay Srivastav, Vice President, Head – Design, Reliance Industries and Javier Cifuentes, CEO, BIM Dimension LLC.
Though BIM is relatively new to India, the conference reassured many professionals and is gaining popularity amongst architects and developers. Recognising the potential benefits and adoption of BIM to design is but crucial at this juncture.
The conference brought together leading experts and BIM practitioners from India and proved to be an excellent opportunity for networking and sharing experiences in the application of technology throughout the life cycle, from various organisations through to professional development.
The theme for this conference was aimed at “recognising the potential benefits and adoption of BIM to accomplish greater design and building competence in the Indian Construction landscape”.
The two-day summit gave an insight, into BIM adoption and the key role which it played in the current design environment with the keynote addresses by renowned and reputed speakers.
