The who’s who of the fenestration industry displayed their products at India’s only focused event in windows, doors and façade technologies. Organised by NürnbergMesse in cooperation with Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, fensterbau/frontale India kicked off at the Bombay Exhibition Centre as a 3-day event from March 7th-9th.

Jain, Chairman, IGBC; Rohan Parikh, Green Initiatives, Infosys Ltd; Sheetal Rakheja, President, International Fenestration Forum; Professor Werner Lang, Architect, University of Munich; and Professor Rajan Rawal, Centre for Research and Development, CEPT University shared their expertise on the façade technologies for future buildings. The aim of the event was to raise further awareness about quality windows and doors, and take the concept to the grass-roots level.
Major players in the industry like Aluplast India, Elumatec India, KELEGANT, Rehau, Geeta Alluminium, ALPRO Industries, GEZE India, Schueco, Ewin, and Rhenocoll displayed various fenestration products and services, including semi-finished materials, components and prefabricated elements, hardware, fixing equipment, shading, and ventilating equipment and machines. Other supporting associations included the Aluminium Extruders Council, Federation of Safety Glass, Glazing Society of India, Confederation of Construction Products and Services, uPVC Windows and Doors Manufacturers Association, and Indian Green Building Council.
The exhibition was further enhanced by an extensive conference programme, focusing on current trends and developments and a detailed examination of the Indian and international fenestration market. With the theme “Envelopes for Green Buildings”, the conferences discussed the role of hardware in enabling functionality, the role of opening and closing devices, and challenges in design and construction of high-quality facades.
The event was a grand platform to showcase to the world the latest in technology, varied green, sustainable solutions and products as well as best practices in the fenestration industry.
