HMEL plans to set up a petrochemicals complex in Punjab

Petrochemical: HPCL Mittal Energy Ltd (HMEL) the JVC of HPCL and Mittal Energy Investments Pvt Ltd, Singapore, has plan to set up a petrochemicals complex at Bhatinda refinery. Naphtha cracker unit with 1.7-million tonne will come up to produce basic raw material that goes into making of plastics at Bhatinda in Punjab.
