IMG recommends de-allocation of 3 more coal blocks

On Monday, Inter Ministerial Group (IMG), that scrutinising the misappropriation in coal block allocations recommended de-allocation of three more coal blocks and deduction of bank guarantee of four captive mines including one allotted to the world's largest steel producer Arcelor Mittal and GVK Powers.
The three coal blocks which are facing de-allocation are North Dhadu allotted to Electrosteel Castings and others; Choritand Tailaya allotted to Rungta Mines & Sunflag Iron & Steel; and Gondkhari allotted to Maharashtra Seamless, Dhariwal Infrastructure & Kesoram Industries.
The IMG also recommended deduction of bank guarantee in respect of four coal blocks which include Moitra allotted to Jayaswal Neco Industries; Dumri allotted to Nilanchal Iron & Steel and Bajran Ispat; Durgapur-II/Sariya allotted to DB Power; and Seregraha allotted to  Arcelor Mittal Indian and GVK Power (Govindwal Sahib). The IMG would meet again today to review remaining cases.
