KEC won orders worth Rs. 1,511 cr

KEC International Ltd. has secured new orders worth Rs.1,511 crore in its transmission, power systems and cable businesses from India, Oman, Nepal and America.
In India, the company has secured two turnkey orders from POWERGRID. The first order is worth Rs.286 crore for supply and erection of 800 kV HVDC transmission line in Chhattisgarh (western region – part one).
The second order is worth Rs. 386 crore on similar lines in (western region – part two) Chhattisgarh. In addition, KEC has secured Rs. 43 crore orders for supply of power and telecom cables.
In Oman, the company has received order from Bhawan Engineering Company for design, supply and erection of 400 kV transmission line, worth Rs. 602 crore. The line is for the Oman Electricity Transmission Company S.A.O.C.
In Nepal, KEC has bagged order from Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited for supply and erection of transmission line and substation worth Rs. 131 crore.
