Lafarge to buy out 14% stake in Indian business
Lafarge, a French major in cement, aggregates and concrete businesses, has signed an agreement to acquire the 14 per cent stake held by Baring in Lafarge India, for a consideration of €270 million.
Following this transaction, Lafarge will hold 100 per cent of the shares of Lafarge India.
The deal is a part of the implementation in India of Lafarge’s planned merger with Holcim, the company said.
