Nemetschek appoints Usman Shuja to Executive Board

Usman Shuja is joining Nemetschek’s Executive Board, providing leadership with expertise in innovation, growth strategies, and digital transformation excellence.

The Nemetschek Group (ISIN DE 0006452907), a major global software provider for digital transformation in the construction and media industries, is growing its executive team. The Supervisory Board unanimously selected Usman Shuja to the Executive Board, beginning January 1. Usman Shuja will continue to be the Chief Division Officer (CDO) of the Build & Construct Division and CEO of Bluebeam Inc.

Usman Shuja will join CEO Yves Padrines and CFO Louise Öfverström on the Executive Board. Usman Shuja joined the Nemetschek Group in September 2023. Under his guidance, the Build & Construct Division’s strategic direction is currently being effectively moulded, including an improved go-to-market strategy and the successful execution of Bluebeam’s subscription transition. Another significant achievement was the successful acquisition of GoCanvas, a top SaaS provider of field worker collaboration tools.

Usman Shuja is a successful technology executive with vast expertise in driving operational excellence in global, high-growth businesses. Before joining the Nemetschek Group, he was Vice President and General Manager of Honeywell’s Connected Buildings group. Throughout his career, he worked for well-known companies such as Boston Consulting Group, IBM, and Dell. Usman Shuja was also a founder member of Avathon (previously SparkCognition), a pioneering software business focused on artificial intelligence (AI).

He has a master’s in public administration (MPA) from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Texas in Austin.
