Welspun Corp ranks sixth in global steel sustainability

Welspun Corp’s MD & CEO, Vipul Mathur, celebrates the company’s sixth-place ranking in S&P Global CSA, which reinforces its strong ESG commitments.

Welspun Corp Limited, a flagship company of Welspun World, a conglomerate with Complete Pipe Solutions and Building Material business verticals, and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of large-diameter line pipes, has been ranked among the top ten companies in the steel sector by S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment.

According to the S&P Global CSA, Welspun Corp is ranked sixth among global steel companies. The company received a total ESG score of 72 across all key parameters, up 6 percent from its previous score of 68. These accolades are attributed to the company’s environmental commitments to achieve carbon and water neutrality by 2040, a strong emphasis on social and governance aspects, and transparent disclosures.
