EXCON  aiming to scale new heights
Excon 2013, the 7th edition of South Asia’s largest event for construction equipment sector, is scheduled to be held from 20th – 24th November at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru with the theme on “Propelling Sustainable Infrastructure Growth”.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s Apex Industry Association is the organiser whereas Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA) is the sector partner for the event. The event is also supported by Builders Association of India (BAI). The Government of Karnataka is participating as Partner State at the event.
Featuring over 900 exhibitors which will include over 300 overseas companies, and with a spread of 2,20,000 sq. metres, Excon will see countries like Germany, Japan, Italy, Sweden, Turkey, South Korea and China are participating in this exhibition. The exhibition will also feature over 100 product launches by exhibiting companies.
According to Vipin Sondhi, Chairman, Excon 2013 & Managing Director & CEO, JCB India, Excon Trade Fairs continually aim to provide a one of a kind opportunity for the entire industry including manufacturers, assemblers, component suppliers, financiers and after-sales servicers to assess the current status of Indian construction equipment industry and the underlying opportunities and challenges. As a result, today, Excon is been recognised as a leader in the construction equipment and construction technology trade fair in South Asia.
From live demonstrations of equipment for earthmoving & construction, lifting, material handling, concrete making, hydraulics, pneumatics and drills, to a display of power tools & piling, electronics, controls & instrumentation, compactors, and compressors & generators; the fair promises to give more than 35,000 visitors from different parts of India a great business opportunity. Apart from the participation of major equipment renting companies, and leasing and finance companies that offer on the spot loans, visitors can benefit by benchmarking product features of different makes, interacting about their requirements with technical heads, and negotiating deals with chief executives.
Coinciding with Excon 2013, a two-day conference on “Propelling Sustainable Infrastructure Development – India on the Move” will be held on 21st and 22nd November at the BIEC Complex, Bengaluru. The conference is being organised by Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA), an affiliate to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
