Focusing on the direct customer

As per Mario Schmidt, Managing Director, Lingel Windows and Doors Technologies Pvt Ltd sustainability starts while finding the answer of:

• How to recycle the product once the lifecycle is over
• How to improve people’s life while taking problems related to our product away from the consumer
• How to reduce the carbon footprint.

He adds, “The main goal to first point (How to recycle the product once the lifecycle is over) is that the product has a very long life time of above 40 years if maintained well. At the time, of window replacement, all components can be reused without creating any unused scrap. Since the input material is high in value like the UPVC component or widely used like the steel and the glass component, the recycling chain is already in place.”

uPVC section needs very less energy and wasting very less water during extrusion and fabrication compare to traditional material like aluminium and wood. Similar to car doors and freezers, uPVC systems are having a double gasket sealing system between the frame and the Shutter. Due to this a zero air leakages is achieved which reduces the energy loss especially at all the air-conditioned area.

As the product is still young to the country it is important for us to be directly in touch with the costumer. This helps us to offer all our additional figures, options, products above the basic model usually used if it becomes to B2B supply. Focusing on the direct customer has helped us in growing the business where in overall the construction industry on the housing sector is stagnant since a while and growth rates could not be achieved for players focusing at this business model.”
