Bathroom in size XS
Small, practical apartments in an urban location are in trend. Where space is at a premium, creative solutions are needed for smart and flexible design of the apartment, especially for small bathrooms and guest bathrooms.

Where there is not much floor space, the focus needs to be on the basic elements and their arrangement – adapted and reduced dimensions are key.

Duravit’s product range offers washbasins in a wide variety of dimensions – including size XS. At just 434 mm wide x 340 mm deep, the smallest vanity unit in the XSquare bathroom furniture range is the perfect solution for those seeking to bring a contemporary, elegant style into the smallest of bathrooms. In combination with the new compact version of DuraSquare, the XSquare series is definitely an eye-catcher. Whether floor-standing or wall-mounted, the sky’s the limit when it comes to individuality.

Light colours and large tile formats make small bathrooms appear larger. Wall-mounted furniture heightens this effect. Both vanity units and tall cabinets from the versatile XSquare furniture range by Duravit are ideal when space is in short supply and come in more than 28 different colours, opening up ample scope for individual colour highlights. Variable mirrors and mirror cabinets with intelligent LED technology and integrated memory effect show off small bathrooms in the best light while also providing extra storage space.

The new Brioso bathroom furniture series affords a wide range of design options, too. The characteristic handles and furniture feet are also available in the same colour for seven of the 15 front and carcass colours. Whether glossy or matt, single-coloured or with a shiny chrome handle – the Brioso series is sure to stand out, and combines well with five different ceramic series. The Brioso vanity units, tall cabinets and mirror cabinets are all available in a range of sizes and provide plenty of storage even in the smallest bathroom.

A hand rinse basin just 380 mm wide x 250 mm deep rounds off the successful Vero Air series with its consistently rectangular style. The basin is also available as a furniture washbasin in combination with L-Cube. The classic DuraStyle product range – already impressively broad – has been further extended by a new hand rinse basin which is especially narrow due to the offset positioning of the tap hole. At just 360 mm wide x 220 mm deep, it even slots perfectly into compact, narrow guest bathrooms.

The best use for a small bathroom is as a shower room. Floor-flush showers combine ideally with shower walls such as OpenSpace B by Duravit for greater freedom of movement in the bathroom. This innovative shower partition can simply be folded back against the wall after use. This means that the doors conceal tap fittings and shower heads, introduce a sense of calm into the room and make it genuinely larger. The Stonetto shower tray sets the tone in colour terms. As well as the stone colours White, Sand and Anthracite, it is now also available in Concrete, affording greater opportunities in bathroom design. This makes the shower area a well-designed unit in the small bathroom.

Practical two-in-one products save space and provide for comfort in the bathroom – a case in point being the walk-in-shower Shower + Bath developed by Duravit and EOOS. It combines bathing and showering: as a shower, high-quality bathtub, seat and shelf in one. Compact external dimensions of 170 x 75 cm open up efficient installation options, available in the versions corner left or corner right.
