AIIMS to set up recycling plant in Delhi

Waste-to-energy: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has plan to set up a recycling plant to convert organic waste into natural gas in Delhi with an investment of Rs.130 crores. The gas generated will be used as fuel in laboratories, kitchens, cafeterias and the hostel mess. Japanese government organisation New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organisation (NEDO) will provide Rs. 100 crores for the project.
