Danfoss India, a leader in the world of engineering solutions for the energy, environment, and infrastructure sectors, is pleased to announce the release of its most recent invention, the Microchannel Heat Exchanger (MCHE) technology, which is expected to completely transform the market for air-cooled units.

At the most recent ACREX India 2024, this innovative design—which makes use of the Next Gen Evaporator—promises unmatched advantages over traditional fin tube heat exchangers. The premier event, ACREX India, held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, showcases technological developments and advances in the HVAC supply chain while focusing on the rapidly expanding HVAC manufacturing sector in India.

In the presence of Madhur Sehgal, Head of Danfoss Climate Solutions Sales, India Region, and Pankaj Dharkar, President, Pankaj Dharkar & Associates, the product was introduced by Ravichandran Purushothaman, President, Danfoss India.

With the launch of this Next Gen Evaporator, Danfoss India further solidifies its standing as the industry’s go-to sustainability partner, putting the company’s dedication to sustainability front and centre. With its most recent innovation, Danfoss is demonstrating its commitment to ‘Make in India for India and the World,’ supporting localised production and providing dependable, high-quality fluid conveyance systems specifically designed for the Indian market.

Danfoss has developed an innovative evaporator design that is highly adaptable to a wide range of application situations. With the Next Generation Evaporator, you can maintain optimal performance at any load level, from 25 percent to 100 percent, regardless of variations in mass flow, air flow, or refrigerant densities.

Using Danfoss’s proprietary distribution design has benefits beyond performance; it also helps organisations score higher on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics. The Next Gen. Evaporator supports a more environmentally friendly approach to HVAC systems by increasing system efficiency and lowering environmental impact. This is in line with sustainability goals.

Ravichandran Purushothaman, President of Danfoss India, emphasised Danfoss’ commitment to sustainability and highlighted the significance of the new product’s impact on the Indian market. “Danfoss India is thrilled to launch the Next Gen. Evaporator at ACREX India 2024, supporting our mission of sustainability and localised production. This innovative product enhances refrigerant distribution, boosts heat transfer efficiency, and expedites installations, reducing labour and costs. With the HVAC sector’s projected annual growth rate of 15.8 percent from 2021 to 2030 in mind, we aim to lead this growth by providing innovative, energy-efficient solutions aligned with India’s Net Zero commitment and focused on reducing CO2 emissions.”

Madhur Sehgal, Head of Danfoss Climate Solutions Sales, India Region, says, “Danfoss’ new Next Gen. Evaporator embodies our commitment to sustainability and innovation in the HVAC industry, offering up to 60 percent reduced refrigerant usage and up to 30 percent higher efficiency compared to conventional heat exchangers. The ground-breaking solution underscores our dedication to sustainability and positions us as leaders in delivering superior performance and tangible contributions towards a greener future.”

Industry participants can network, interact, and view the newest technological developments in the HVAC manufacturing sector at ACREX India. In addition, the seventh edition of the ACREX Hall of Fame, a collaborative effort between ISHRAE and Danfoss, honours outstanding energy-efficient and environmentally conscious commercial building projects in India that establish international standards for HVACR.

This platform has honoured notable projects over the years, highlighting their significance as an inspiration for upcoming energy-efficient infrastructure projects in India. Examples of these projects include ITC Windsor in Bangalore and Chhatrapati Sivaji International Airport in Mumbai.
With every year that goes by, Danfoss’s dedication to promoting greener and more energy-efficient solutions through forging green relationships with industry and government is demonstrated by their active participation in the ACREX Hall of Fame.
