With the growth of India’s construction equipment sector, the nature of work execution has moved from manual labour towards greater mechanisation, over the past two decades.

Earthmoving & construction equipment (ECE) industry is a direct recipient of the accelerated pace of infrastructure development in India. With urbanisation, the city skylines are changing to accommodate vertical growth including high rise residential complexes, commercial spaces and multiplexes. Here are some of the technologically advanced products in the space of earthmoving equipment.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s DigiSense backhoe loader
Mahindra Construction Equipment has always strived for providing the best to the market. The Mahindra DITEC engine with flat torque curve implies saving of 10 per cent in standard evacuation cycle. With the launch of new telematics system, DigiSense by Mahindra Group, the equipment are loaded with advanced technology to track real-time performance.

With better technology and design enhancements, the equipment is able to lower lubricant refilling requirement with extended service intervals, thus reducing the overall maintenance cost and improving total cost of ownership.

Schwing Stetter’s range of innovative earthmoving equipment:
Schwing Stetter offers XCMG series of earthmoving equipment. The equipments offer within these range are wheel loaders in the capacities of 1.8, 3 and 5 tonne.
XCMG Wheel loader LW180K

LW180K with payload capacity of 1800 kg and weichai engine was launched in EXCON 2017. It is an ARAI certified machine with engine confirming to BS III emission norms. This machine comes with the single lever joystick for bucket operations, air brakes etc. Articulated steering minimises the turning radius and air brakes for parking gives that extra reassurance that the vehicle will be fully immobilised when the parking brakes are engaged. The axles are manufactured indigenously. Its dump height is the highest in the industry.

XCMG Motor Grader GR 1605
GR1605 Motor Grader comes with the variable horse power Cummins engine conforming to BSIII norms. Power transmission is through the proven design from ZF Transmissions (Electro hydraulic type) and Meritor axles. Rear axles are no-spin self-locking type which will make the machine easily manoeuvrable in marshy landscapes. Accumulator assisted all wheel service brakes provide better braking efficiency to the machine. Hydraulic circuits are load sensing type and standard AC cabin help the operator to feel the comfort and efficiency of the machine.

XCMG Crawler Crane XGC 85
XCMG Crawler Crane XGC 85 is powered by Shanghai diesel engine and it also has the options on Cummins engine which conforms to Euro III norms. The boom length can be extended up to 58 metres. Basic machine is an integrated transport design, without disassembling track frame and boom base, greatly save transport costs and improve the assembly / disassembly efficiency. Common platform products with fixed jib, single top, both sided counter weight hook block, luffing mechanism, hydraulic pump and main valve block are universal and interchangeable. One key switch is used to easily achieve main/auxiliary hook switch-over for wider range of application.

XCMG Rotary Drilling Rig XR 220 D
XR220DRotary Drilling Rig has single layer rope winding in central winch. Infrared camera available for observing the central winch, manipulator can observe the state of steep rope at day and night inside the cab. It is powered by supercharged CUMMINS engine with European III emission norms, meets the environmental pollution and energy conservation norms. The patented parallelogram articulation structure actualises a wider work scope.

CASE India’s PRO Series Backhoe Loader
CASE India new PRO Series Loader Backhoe has a robust, robotically welded two-piece structural frame design which results in great stability, performance and serviceability. For versatility in different Indian operating conditions the machine is designed with heavy duty structures, tanks, fenders and rims. To give the series a muscular look, there is a dual-colour tone, with a mix of Grey on the lower parts of the machine and Power Tan colour on the upper parts.

On the technology front, CASE India has introduced the Revolutionary EAGLE EYE telematics solution for enhancing the performance and efficiency of the machine. This IoT-based asset monitoring system gives the freedom of machine monitoring and remote diagnostics alerts at the click of a button on a mobile or desktop computer.

CASE India also offers 770EX PRO, CASE 770EX-Magnum PRO and 851EX PRO in its loader backhoe segment. The CASE PRO Series Loader Backhoe is powered by FPT Industrial S8000 engine which delivers powerful performance and fast response time coupled with 8 per cent higher productivity and fuel savings of up to 10 per cent. The series is re-engineered from the ground-up to deliver industry-leading backhoe breakout force, higher loader lift capacity/reach and best-in-class cab visibility.
Bigger buckets allow greater load lifting and increase productivity. The series is equipped with a superior working range and will reach deeper than any other loader backhoe. There is a choice of two configurations: a standard dipper dig depth of 4.5 and 4.7 meters, or an extendable dig depth of 5.9 meters.

The power shuttle transmission provides four forward and reverse speeds. The hydraulically shifted clutches allow the operator to change direction and travel speed on the go, while the control valves deliver smooth speed and direction shifts, resulting in smooth and accurate operations. The new single-piece engine hood provides excellent access for maintenance. The machine layout has been designed to ensure that all daily service points are easily accessible at ground level, for quick and efficient servicing.
