Everest launches technical manual on PEB

According to Everest, the “India’s first” manual will be used by architects, design engineers, and project managers as a technical orientation reference guide and/or training tool to acquaint themselves with designing, detailing, fabrication and erection of metal buildings. Speaking on the occasion Manish Garg, President and CEO, Everest Steel Building Solutions, Everest Industries said, “The pre-engineered steel building concept is recognised to be the most versatile, fast and economical method of constructing buildings. The economy and the speed of delivery and erection of these buildings are unmatched in the construction industry. From a simple box industrial building, which was imported into India way back in 1997, to the present day mega projects that define innovation with precision and speed, PEB industry in India has indeed come a long way. We hope, the technical manual, first of its kind in India, would further help engineers and architects to design and develop some remarkable PEB projects in the country giving further impetus to the growth story of PEB industry thereby fuelling Indian manufacturing sector.”
The launch was followed by a panel discussion wherein eminent panellists including Kamal Hadker, the man behind India’s landmark structures like Bombay Stock Exchange, Wankhede Stadium along with Devang Sutaria, Mehul Shah, Jayaramalingam and Amit Shah, discussed the roadmap of PEB industry growth in India.
Arijit Guha, AGM (C&S), Institute for Steel Development and Growth (INSDAG), Ministry of Steel gave a presentation highlighting the effectiveness of Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings in seismic conditions.
“PEB industry is estimated to be close to Rs 5,000 crore in India. With the great potential that ‘Make in India’ brings to the industry, we estimate strong double digit growths for the industry to continue. Being one of the largest PEB makers with 3 manufacturing facilities and a robust design and erection team and the credibility of on time delivery of projects, we are well prepared to tap this opportunity,” Mr Garg added.
