“Finolex gives value for money to customers” says Arvind Joshi, AVP – Sales and Marketing, Finolex Industries Ltd.
Finolex Industries Ltd. is India’s largest manufacturer of rigid PVC pipes and fittings. With a total production capacity of over 250,000 tonnes per annum, Finolex Industries is the first Indian PVC pipe manufacturer to be awarded IS/ISO 9001:2008 certification. In an exclusive interview with Swati Rana, Arvind Joshi shares their philosophy and strategies.
Finolex is the one of largest manufacturers of PVC-U pipes in India. How is the experience so far?We have maintained our market leadership for many years.
Have you launched any new product recently?We have recently launched column pipes.
What are the features and benefits of that product?We have launched column pipes recently and are marketing across the country. It is used as a replacement to conventional metal pipes for drawing water out of a bore well through a submersible pump. PVC is a good option for this as it’ll not corrode. The innovation what you can do is offering a quality product at an optimum price. Hence, you need to give value for money to the client.
What is your market share in pipes and fittings sector?We command around 25 per cent share in the organised sector.
What are your after-sales strategy?This product is a part of a system and requires very little after-sales service.
Would you like to talk about any particular product?We are manufacturing plumbing systems in PVC and CPVC which are getting increased acceptance in the construction sector. These products are marketed through a nationwide distribution network.
How is the response in PlumbexIndia? It’s a very niche exhibition, and there has been good interaction with people connected with this field.
