Servotech seals ₹ 111 crore deal for 1400 DC fast EV chargers

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and other EV charger OEMs have placed an order for 1400 DC fast EV chargers with Servotech Power Systems Ltd., a well-known EV charger manufacturer in India. Two charger types, 60 kW and 120 kW, are part of the 111 crore worth of orders placed.

Servotech has been contracted by IOCL to manufacture, supply, and install DC EV chargers across the country, with a focus on putting them at Indian Oil petrol stations and other designated sites. The remaining chargers will likewise be produced by Servotech and supplied to EV charger OEMs. This action is considered significant since it will support decarbonised transportation and address the changing requirements of the EV charging infrastructure.

• HPCL and OEMs have placed an order for 1500 DC Fast EV chargers with Servotech.

• BPCL also placed an order for 1800 DC EV chargers with the company.

• There have been 4700 orders for EV chargers placed by OEMs and oil marketing organisations combined.

• The combined orders are worth 333 crores in total.

Servotech pledges to install every one of these chargers by the conclusion of the 2024–2025 fiscal year. By March 31st, 2024, Servotech plans to deploy 5 percent of the 4700 DC EV charging devices. By the same deadline, March 31, 2024, Servotech will also finish deploying the 2649 AC EV chargers that BPCL ordered.
