Tyco launches Revit-compatible 3-D Files [June 2012]
Now available for building information modelling integration
Tyco Fire Protection Products (TYCO), one of the global leaders in fire suppression technologies, announces the release of the most comprehensive online library of Revit-compatible 3-D files in the fire sprinkler industry. These files, as well as an easy-to-follow design guide, are now available for fire protection engineers, sprinkler system designers, and contractors to download on www.Tyco-Fire.com, for integration with projects utilising building information modelling (BIM).
In addition to offering a best-in-class library of Revit-compatible 3-D files, including sprinklers, valves, fittings and couplings, the database is organised by product type to streamline navigation for users. Additionally, each product-specific file includes precise dimensional data, manufacturer specifications, and contact information.“We have endeavoured to create content like multiple trim packages for our valves. In addition, current registered users of our GRINNELL Mechanical are granted access to immediately enjoy the benefits of our products,” informed Raymond Chia, Marketing Manager – Asia Pacific, Water Fire Suppression, Tyco Fire Protection Products.
Design and construction professionals can access the files by registering and receiving approval through www.Tyco-Fire.com. To view the complete availability of Revit-compatible 3-D files for Tyco sprinkler system components, visit www.Tyco-Fire.com.
