Historically, tall buildings symbolises economic prosperity of a country. As the Indian economy is being considered as one of the fastest growing economies in the world, the more and more tall buildings are touching the sky. While there will be even more impressive buildings erected in the coming years, the 10 in this list are the ones that rule the skylines today. Ironically, all these buildings are located in Mumbai – the financial hub of this country.

The Imperial, a twin-tower residential skyscraper located at the heart of South Mumbai, is currently the tallest residential towers in India. The project is designed by Architect Hafeez Contractor. The apartments in this project range between 2,550 and 10,000 sq. ft.
The Imperial is one of the few residential buildings in India to have an aluminium composite panel façade, which is virtually maintenance free for up to 40 years.
