ISH Designplus awards highlight innovation and sustainability

At the prestigious occasion, thirteen excellent designs were recognised with the ISH Designplus Award, showcasing creativity, sustainability, and barrier-free bathroom solutions.

The winners of the prestigious Designplus Award from ISH have been announced! From over 160 ideas, 13 excellent solutions were chosen that blend functionality and beauty to the highest degree. Furthermore, the panel has awarded special recognition to an entry that addresses the essential issue of barrier-free bathroom design. The ISH’s opening day featured a lively awards presentation at the Design Plaza.

With this accolade, 13 innovative products join the ranks of Designplus accolade winners. The independent jury included industry experts Elke Oechsner (Managing Director of Heizungs-Journal Verlags GmbH), Prof. Amandus Samsøe Sattler (ensømble studio architektur, President DGNB e.V.), Matthias Thiel (Consultant Business Management, Data Management, Demographic Change, ZVSHK – Zentralverband Sanitär Heizung Klima), and Jens Wischmann (Managing Director of VDS – Vereinigung Deutsche Sanitärwirtschaft e.V. & Managing Director of VdZ – Wirtschaf). The 34 nominees were picked first, followed by the 13 winners.

The nominated and winning products will be on show in an exclusive special exhibition in Hall 5.1 throughout ISH. The expo allows trade visitors to witness the industry’s inventive strength and creative diversity firsthand. The enormous number of submissions from many nations demonstrates the international response to the competition. They highlight ISH’s global relevance as the world’s leading HVAC and water trade exhibition.

Candidates submitted innovative designs in six categories:

• Smart & Control +  
• Design & Innovation +  
• Young Innovators +  
• Sustainable Exhibition Stand +  

Messe Frankfurt, the organiser, sends a strong signal in favour of sustainability and developing environmentally responsible trade fair concepts with the category ‘Sustainable Exhibition Stand +’.

In addition, a special mention was made. This recognises a submission that addresses the critical issue of barrier-free bathroom design. This is a marketing strategy that generates fresh impulses through creative design and targeted communication. The panel chose to award this proposal because it highlights socially relevant issues and stresses the need for accessibility and inclusivity in the bathroom industry.

The Designplus Award from ISH recognises products that combine innovation, exceptional design, usefulness, and sustainability. The award is being presented in cooperation with Stylepark.
