Bentley enables your facade light neighbourhood!

SimpsonHaugh and Partners adopted Bentley’s Generative Design solution for designing a mixed-use complex to anchor Blackfriars Bridge and grace the Southwark skyline in London. The facade of the 170-meter signature skyscraper One Blackfriars is uniquely designed to enable maximise daylight and minimise solar reflection for neighbouring properties.

“Using Bentley’s generative design software allowed the project team to deliver a complex façade system that might not have been possible otherwise. Generative Components allowed SimsponHaugh to fine tune the façade to reduce the number of panels and minimise the number of double-curved panels. These measures had a direct impact on cost savings,” Bentley said issuing a statement.
