BHEL to set-up power plant in Vizag [May 2012]

BHEL has signed a contract with Abhijeet Projects Limited (APL) for setting up a 300 MW thermal power plant in Visakhapatnam.  Valued at Rs. 6,300 Million, the contract envisages design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of boilers, steam turbines and turbo-generators along with state-of-the-art controls and instrumentation (C&I) and other associated auxiliaries for APL’s 1×300 MW thermal power plant in Visakhapatnam.
