Lucie Koldova’s Chips lounge chair has been recognised with the prestigious Red Dot, adding to the list of awards the chair has received since its unveiling. The Red Dot committee was impressed with the lounge chair’s innovative design and quality workmanship.
“In Czechia the lounge chair won its first award last October, when it received the title of Best Furniture at Prague’s Designblok. And then in November it was named a Winner in the German Design Award 2019 competition,” outlined TON’s Marketing Director Jan Juza the lounge chair’s early success. The list of accolades grew in late December with a ‘black dot’ Good Design award granted by The Chicago Athenaeum in collaboration with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. And now Chips is a proud recipient of a Red Dot in the Product Design 2019 category.
This is not the first Red Dot for TON. Red Dots have also graced the Alba, Merano and Split chairs and the table and chair from the Leaf collection. In addition, in 2018 TON won a Red Dot in the Communication Design category for its collection of catalogues and material samples.
