Dalmia Cement ventures into Maharashtra
Dalmia Cement Bharat Limited (DCBL) announced the launch of its superior grade cement in the Maharashtra market.
The flagship company of the Dalmia Bharat Group has commenced operations at its greenfield cement plant in Belgaum district, Karnataka. Spread over 380 acres, and with a total capacity of 2.5 million tonnes per annum, the over Rs 1,300-crore plant will cater to the needs of the customers in Maharashtra and Karnataka markets.
The plant is the company’s 11th manufacturing facility of the cement group commissioned in March. With 24 million tonne cement manufacturing capacity and the third largest manufacturing capacity in the country, Dalmia Cement wants to address the needs of its customers in Maharashtra.
With a commitment to provide excellent quality service to the end consumers, Dalmia Cement is engaging with over 800 dealers in the region, who will be constantly supported with end-to-end marketing, technical and logistics support. “Built on the most modern technology supplied by KHD Germany, the product will see premium positioning in the business,” the company said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahendera Singhi, Group CEO, Dalmia Cement said, “We will deliver superior grade cement, including Dalmia Ultra Cement with HALC from our new plant in Belgaum, with all marketing, technical and logistic support to our customers in Maharashtra. This will re-define the market and product quality parameters.”
