Dubai to build Taj Mahal replica

Taj Arabia or the crown of Arabia is the latest project to join the ever burgeoning ranks of sterling real estate developments in Dubai. A replica of the Taj Mahal, one of the modern day seven wonders of the world, the Taj Arabia project is a development that includes a five-star deluxe hotel, two serviced hotel apartments and four mixed use buildings. The project envisages a souk on the ground level, interlinked by corridors, terraced gardens, water features, banqueting facilities, landscaped walk-ways, innovative illuminations are some additional features that make this development a unique investment opportunity and an prospect to own and enjoy a piece of history.
Falcon City of Wonders (FCW), the multipurpose mega-project being developed across Emirates Road, announced that the project will include ‘Taj Arabia’ that will be built around the architectural marvel, an actual replication of Taj Mahal though many times larger and surrounded by lush green innovated landscaping including the famous Mughal gardens and architecturally themed landmark buildings.
The project comprises various residential and commercial buildings including a mega retail hub including jewellery souk and wedding boutiques which will delight the shoppers.
Slated to be completed by the end of 2014, the project is targeted at a discerning clientele that appreciates beauty and aesthetics as much as an investment opportunity that assures them of healthy returns. The promoters of the $1 billion (Dh3.67 billion) project, wants to create Taj Arabia as a symbol of love and romance, like its original, and as a venue for the celebration of marriage. 
With a built-up area of approximately 200,000 square metres, the Taj Arabia project is a multi-dimensional development offering a wide range of options. The project comprises of two free hold residential buildings with a total of 264 units. On offer are two and three bedroom apartments. Two mixed use buildings offer commercial offices and residences totalling to 129 and 72 units respectively. In view of the booming economy and the itinerant executives, two buildings offering 325 fully serviced apartments bring the total tally to six structures.
Taj Arabia hotel, a 300 room hospitality endeavour, is a mirror image of the famed Taj Mahal of India. Boasting international standards of creature comforts and superlative services and facilities, it is set to become the talk of the town on opening its doors for business.
The entire project is replete with lush greenery, soothing water fountains and cascading streams. The environment is regal and harks to a bygone era of magnificence and splendour.
According to FCW website, “Link Global Group will develop this new landmark at FCW that is described as ‘The World in a City’ project as it includes several historical and modern icons of architecture from around the world such as The Pyramids, The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, The Eiffel Tower, The Taj Mahal, The Great Wall of China, and The Leaning Tower of Pisa.”
Arun Mehra, the prominent Indian businessman and Chairman of Link Global Group that will develop Taj Arabia, said, “We are pleased to the significant response for the concept of Taj Arabia as a wedding destination. The hospitality sector is booming in Dubai and this appears to be greeted with great enthusiasm and great response from the jewellery sector as they find it a prominent place to sell jewellery under the monument of love.”
