L&T plans to redevelop old BDD chawls in Maharashtra

Housing: The Buildings & Factories Business of L&T Construction has bagged a major design & builds order from MHADA. The contract is to re-develop Mumbai’s century-old BDD Chawls. The scope of work comprises complete design and construction of twenty residential towers (3B+G+23F) for rehabilitation, four high-rise towers (3B+G+72F) for sale and one commercial development (3B+G+21F) within a plot area of 16 acre along with MEP, finishes, onsite/offsite infrastructure, landscaping, demolition of existing structures and logistics involved in the rehabilitation of the current occupants at Mumbai in Maharashtra has plan to invests around Rs. 2903 Crores.
