Nitin Gadkari approves construction projects in Arunachal Pradesh

The building of the Lada-Sarli segment of NH-913 (Frontier Highway) in Arunachal Pradesh is set to receive funding of ₹. 2,248.94 crore, as approved by Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari.

The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) method will be used to carry out this development, which will span Packages 1, 2, 3, and 6 and cover a total distance of 105.59 km.

Shri Gadkari stressed the importance of this project in a social media post, emphasising its role in building a strong communication network for security forces. The project aims to promote economic activity in the area and reverse migration into the lively border areas, while also strengthening security. In addition, the project intends to build vital road infrastructure that will connect important river basins and enable the advancement of multiple hydroelectric projects in the state.

Regarding this greenfield road’s potential to boost the tourism industry, especially in the sparsely populated regions of Upper Arunachal, Shri Gadkari voiced confidence. It is projected that the development will take care of the region’s infrastructure requirements and handle the anticipated future increase in traffic. All things considered, the fund’s approval is a major step towards supporting Arunachal Pradesh’s vital infrastructure, economic growth, and connectivity.
