Patel Engineering wins Telangana river project

The Government of Telangana’s Department of Water and Sanitation has designated Patel Engineering in Joint Venture as the lowest (L1) bidder for a project worth ₹ 525.36 crore. A portion of ₹ 267.93 crore belongs to Patel Engineering in the contract.

The Telangana government’s Irrigation and CAD Department has designated Patel Engineering Limited (PEL) and its joint venture partner as L1 for a ₹ 525.36 crore contract that involves building an RCC protection wall along the right and left flanks of the River Munneru between Polepally and Prakashnagar in Khammam City, Khammam District. The project has a 24-month completion window. The aforementioned project is situated in the state of Telangana and will be carried out in a joint venture in which PEL will own a 51 percent stake.

The extent of the task entails the construction of a 2-kilometre embankment on either side of the River Munneru near the Nagarjuna Sagar Left Bank Aqueduct in Khammam City, as well as an 8.5-kilometre RCC protection wall on the right and left sides between Polepally and Prakashnagar.
