PEC Greening India adding sustainability to next-gen Green Industrial Park
Renaissance Indus Infra Pvt Ltd has appointed PEC Greening India as Green & Total Sustainability Consultant for Renaissance – Maharashtra’s 1st Industrial Smart City.
Renaissance Industrial Smart City, the first integrated industrial smart city of Maharashtra, appointed PEC Greening India as a Green and Total Sustainability Consultant to incorporate sustainability features in the entire planning of master plan to achieve overall energy efficiency, water efficiency, to establish an adequate solid waste management plan, an efficient green belt management program, sustainable transportation strategy, reduction in heat island effect, implementation of renewable energy and execution of green construction management plan. PEC Greening India will support Magus Group to achieve its sustainability mission for Smart City Mission and Solar Energy Mission by using ‘Green’ standards of Indian Green Building Council.
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is focused on the notion of Smart City, in the perception of the current state and concepts of implementation phase, there has been a huge effort, especially on behalf of the industry and of the main economic agents in the market, in widely spreading their solutions, finding partnerships in cities and within the territories. During the past few months a thoughtful current on the “utopian characteristics” of Smart Cities has been flourished.
As the city expands into a major manufacturing region, it attracts highly skilled workforce and generate direct employment to fuel economic growth and a thriving, vibrant community to live, work and play.
With the same vision, Renaissance under the leadership of Mayur Suchak aims to give global recognition to the Indian economy and also project India as an ultimate manufacturing destination.
In order to boost the growing industrial sector, Renaissance Indus Infra Pvt Ltd presents MIDC’s first 100 per cent legal in principle approved Integrated Industrial Park. The project is strategically located on the junction of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Freight Corridor and Nagpur-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. The Industrial Smart city is spread across 404 acres, of which Phase I comprising 130 acres is already under development.
Renaissance Industrial Smart City is intelligently designed, taking into consideration the Smart City – India way model providing infrastructure and support for smart and efficient manufacturing as well as living. The model consists of 7 layers including Core Product, Facilities Supporting Manufacturing & Living, Services for Smart Manufacturing & Efficient Living, Infra & External Ecosystem, Cluster Specific Common Facility Centers, 6 Components of Smart City and Operation & Maintenance Framework. The park will have MIDC equivalent infrastructure which include advanced road, water distribution communication, power supply, drainage, security and firefighting system. Here, established and growing businesses from textile, manufacturing, assembling, food processing and packaging sector and small & medium enterprises stand to benefit from the various subsidies given by Central and State Governments, amounting to 40-60 per cent refund on investment.
Since decades, industry clusters have served as catalyst for economic growth. The biggest examples are Silicon Valley and Hollywood. At Renaissance, the benefit is companies from the similar industries coming together. It helps them reduce the cost of production and transportation, finding new workforce and new business. The 9 industries that will form the wheels of growth at Renaissance Industrial Smart City include logistics & e-commerce, green industries, IT/ITES, chemicals, textiles, food production, metal and steel, bio pharma and printing industries.
The project has arranged various subsidies and incentives from both Central Government and Maharashtra Government. Central Govt. benefits include subsidy from Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise, Ministry of Food Processing Industry, Ministry of Textile TUF while Maharashtra Govt. package scheme of incentive includes industry promotion subsidy for MSMEs, interest subsidy, exemption from electricity duty, waiver of stamp duty and other incentives for micro, small and medium manufacturing enterprises.
