Rs. 4,000 cr solar park planned in Bijapur district [June 2012]
The Karnataka Government plans to set-up a 4,000 acre solar park at Mannur in Bijapur district. The Government targets to complete the solar farm project within 18 months and will start with capacities of 80-100 MW. Under the Karnataka Renewable Energy Policy 2009-14, the State envisages adding about 4,300 MW and proposes to bring in Rs. 23,890 crore of investments in this segment.
