WOFX was a fantastic platform that brought the furniture business together under one roof so that clients, customers, and architects could meet the market’s requirements and expectations in person.
With India emerging as the fastest growing market for furniture and the 4th largest consumer of furniture in the world, WOFX has positioned itself as an industry platform wherein the entire industry, whether from India or abroad, can converge and do business, collaborate, exchange market information, and share design ideas.
WOFX featured a high proportion of international exhibitors with large pavilions as well as Indian market leaders showcasing a comprehensive product range of trendy and in-demand products. Over 140 brands and manufacturers from Italy, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Bangladesh, the USA, and India participated and met buyers to explore business opportunities in India.
Visitors from other countries were pleased with the exhibitors and product range on display. Mohmed Firas Al-Samman, CEO of the UAEbased Samman Group, said, “We have spent over 12 hours at this fairover the last two days, and I have to say that this fair has been very useful to us. “We are looking for partners to do business with us in furniture, and this fair is perfect for us to meet new suppliers.”
“WOFX 22 had good participation of Indian and foreign manufacturers displaying some of the best quality furniture and allied products,” said renowned Ar. Prem Nath, CEO of Prem Nath & Associates, Mumbai.
Exhibitors were also delighted with the solid B2B presence at WOFX. Varun Kant, the Country Head of HTL Marketing Pvt. Ltd. (Singapore), said, “This is the first time HTL has participated in India. WOFX provided a perfect opportunity to showcase what HTL is about to all the professionals who visited us here. The professionals who visited us were pleased with the products, designs, and quality that HTL is bringing to India. “We want to be a long-term partner with WOFX, as the response we have received in this first year itself is excellent.”
Similarly, Harsh Chadwa, Chairman of White House Furniture Pvt. Ltd., said, “This is the first time that White House Furniture is participating in a fair, and the only reason we are participating is that this is the only fair dedicated to the furniture industry.” We were looking for a platform that brought the furniture industry together, and WOFX is the only platform for the furniture industry. The response has been fabulous, and we are doing very well with all B2B visitors and interior designers discussing business with us. “We will be coming back next year with a larger space.”
M. Mustafa, Founder Partner & Patron of the Furniture Manufacturers & Merchants Welfare Association (FMMWA), said, “About 40 members of FUMMA and I from Kerala visited the WOFX expo. We found the expo impressive and very well organised. “It was a good experience.”
WOFX is now recognised as an event for those seeking to build strong local and global partnerships towards creating a truly organised furniture and home décor industry.
The concurrent events organised during the expo saw many industry professionals, such as architects, interior designers, furniture & fittings manufacturers, consultants, etc., participate in the full-day seminars, creating a platform for a large number of direct B2B meetings between exhibitors and professional buyers.
The encouraging feedback from exhibitors and visitors points towards a bigger edition in 2023 with more categories and the participation of Indian and international brands.
