The government announced the list of 98 cities which will now compete for the second stage of the smart cities challenge to secure central assistance of Rs 200 crore in the first year followed by Rs 100 crore each year during the next three years.
Birla Corp announced that it has agreed to acquire Jojobera and Sonadih cement businesses from Lafarge India along with Concreto and PSC brands for an enterprise value of Rs. 5,000 crores.
