AAI plans to develop airport in Odisha

Airport: The developement of Jharsuguda airport is being carried out through joint funding from AAI and Odisha Government. The agreement was signed in July, 2014 to develop the airstrip. The state government has handed over 106.23 acre of land out of which 51.8 acre is government land. The contracts are awarded for the construction of passenger terminal building, pavement, service block, staff quarters and ATC tower. The completion is envisaged by June 2018 at Jharsuguda in Odisha. Airport Authority of India has plan to invests around Rs. 210 Crores.
