Smart Cities: Design and Implementation l ACE Update Interactive session
It has been more than half a decade since the government brought Smart Cities into the picture. A selection process entailed specific cities which were to be made smart in terms of infrastructure, connectivity, transportation etc. For the existing infrastructure in these cities the idea was to utilize retrofits and make them smarter. The literature that made the rounds when the concept was initiated gave the common man especially in the suburbs and far-off cities a lot of hope. A hope which meant that his day-to-day way of doing tasks will get revamped. Transportation grievances will be curtailed and every individual in such cities will witness ease of life facilitated by the next level of innovation and technology.
Keeping this agenda in mind ACE Update conducted an interactive session on Smart Cities: Design and Implementation on 24 March 2021 to understand the extent to which the designated cities have become smarter and what lies ahead.
