BHEL bags Rs. 2,759-cr thermal power project

Power: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited plans to assign construction of civil structural and architectural works For 1×800 MW North Chennai TPS Stage III. BHEL said that it has bagged an order worth Rs. 2,759 crore for setting up a unit of supercritical thermal power project in Tamil Nadu. “Significantly, this will be the first-ever 800-MW supercritical set based power plant in the state,” BHEL said. North Chennai Supercritical TPS Stage III is located in Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu and power generated from this plant will help in fostering growth of the state and provide easy access to electricity to the people of Tamil Nadu.
