Hindustan Petroleum Corporation plans to invests around Rs 20,928 Crores in Andhra Pradesh

Oil and Gas: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd the expansion of Visakh Refinery is approved by HPCL board. The project aims to expand the refining capacity from the current 8.33 mmtpa (Million metric tonne per annum) to 15 mmtpa. Environmental clearance for this project is already received around 167.5 acre of land is required. The expansion project would include a 9 mmtpa new crude distillation unit, 2.5MMTPA slurry hydrocracker unit, solvent de-asphalting unit of 2.5 mmtpa, full conversion hydrocracker unit, 96 TPD propylene recovery unit and various other works at Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
