JNPT plans to invests around Rs. 2500 Crores in Maharashtra

Ports and Shipping: Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust the Centre has given nod for a new port named Vadhavan Port at Dahanu. The port will be a joint venture of Government owned Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) and Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB). This would be the third largest port in Maharashtra. The port would be operational by 2021-22 at Dahanu in Maharashtra. Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust has plan to invests around Rs. 2500 Crores.
